We did it and lived through it to tell the story!

The sisters deciding the best route!

I think that is the skinniest deer I have ever seen! Wouldn't be enough meat to waste my time!

Yep that is an egg!

Best seat in the place!

We read the sign and this elephant(we think it was this one) is the same age as Steve!

I had to support my home town! Go Billies! And everyone knew it. Me and the sisters made sure we sang the fight song!

The train was nice since we didn't have to walk back to the car. The scenery wasn't very good though. There was a lot of construction workers we got to wave at!

The new penguin exhibit was neat. They just needed to work on the ventilation though. It was nice that you got to go into air conditioning but to stand in front of a vent you got to smell dead fish!

Everyone but Dwayne got to go to the zoo. We are so grateful to the lady who stopped and took our picture for us!

I can't believe how old all of these babies look!

Since it is not very often that we are all together we took pictures of all of the kids together. Per grandma's request that is. She needed a new one. We hadn't done a group pic since Brenden was 5 months old. We couldn't believe how easy it was. All of the kids did great and that was helpful being we were mid morning before we made it out to take them. They were taken at the Botanic Garden.

Just got home

We just got home from Ft. Worth. We spent the week at my sister's house. All 3 sisters were there for the week. We had lots of fun hanging out and spending lots of time in the Texas heat. Check back for pictures!

VBS program

Tonight we had a VBS program for the finale of an exciting week. We had at least 2 decisions made this week and almost 200 in attendance one day. What a busy week we had and Brenden had fun. This week is my birthday week! I will be 25 on the 25th. What a great way to start off an awesome week watching my baby sing praises to the Lord!

What in the world kind of bird is this?

Several of these birds have been eating out of my humming bird feeder. I have never seen any other kind of bird do this before. Any one have any clue what kind of bird this is? I am kind of tired of it running away my humming birds. And the h-birds look at them like they are crazy!

Haircut

I took the plunge yesterday and finally got brave enough to chop all my hair off.

Want something fun to do?

Our church is having VBS this week. Monday-Friday 9-12 for ages K-6th grade.
First Baptist on N. Main.
Let the kids come and have a blast. We would love to have you!

Never in a million years!

Did I ever think we would be having something like this here. It is no longer in the big cities. It has finally come to our home town. This little stop along the way to where ever.

Do you remember?

I loved this show as a kid. We were flipping through the channels the other night and saw it on. It comes on again tonight. Now you know what we will be watching.:-)

Pics from the 4th

We had fun just hanging out. It ended up being a wonderful night outside. The weather cooled off after the rain and we enjoyed the lack of humidity. The kids did their fireworks then we watched the neighbors' big display.

Women's group

The group of women at Journey have invited me to another party. I could get used to this. I have enjoyed getting to know these women and spending time together in God's Word. I didn't know there would ever be a group that I would have so much in common with. I am excited about the party tonight. There will be lots of food.:o)

We don't have any big plans for the holiday weekend. Barry will be helping my dad on a rent house on his day off tomorrow. Saturday I am not sure. Dad may want to work again so we will see. For those of you that don't know. My dad has picked up a new hobby. He has been buying up houses in town. Mostly in the subdivisions. He will fix them up, somewhat, and then rent them. There are a few he plans to sell later. He always has a project. He gets bored easily and if he doesn't have something going on he will go looking for a project. The latest house had major foundation problems and they just got done putting the house back together, a neat process. Now on to the roof, floors, some fixtures, and I think cabinets. No telling what else. A few of the houses have been fun for me. They left so much stuff behind I had a rummage sale with it and made a more than I ever did at my own sales. One man's trash another man's treasure.

Family Pic

My dad took some quick family pictures after church Sunday before we could all change to our comfy clothes. Thought I would share ours.
