He is such a character! He thinks he is big stuff now that he can get into the chair all by himself.

Sounds neat.

We may have to check this out! I am always looking for ways to meet other moms that stay home. And I am sure Brenden would love to make more friends.

Last night we had some friends over and the kids played in the yard. We of course had all of the blow up stuff set up and the pools ready.
Our morning started off very early. Barry had to get it the attic before the heat of the day. And dad came over to help. We attempted to rearrange the living room Sunday and in the process decided we needed a new tv. Never do we do things spur of the moment but this time we did. I will not go into details because my poor hubby doesn't come out so good so we will just share the good news. I finally like how my living room is set up and think we will be leaving it this way for a while. I will eventually post pictures for you sis.

The other night when it was still pleasant to be outside the boys played in the sandbox. This is now Blaine's favorite thing. He will practically jump from your arms to get in it. Brenden was the same way at this age. He still loves it. He is now more creative and doesn't eat it. A little sand won't hurt the digestive system.:o)
Brenden got this blow up basketball set for his birthday. We got in trouble from the people that gave it to him because we didn't have it set up in the yard at all times for him. So now most of the time it is deflated in the yard until we get ready to play with it. :o) Anything to make you happy. You know who you are.

We went shopping Saturday for Blaine's birthday. We love going to Monroe because all of the places we like are all together vs. Little Rock being so spread out. We had planned on going Friday but as we were leaving town Blaine broke out in hives so our plans changed. Blaine has not had hives since Friday and out of curiosity we tried milk again and he has been on that since Saturday night with no hives. So we will not wait and see if it was something he ate which I am sure we will come across eventually or if he just had a reaction to something airborne or on his skin. Strange how it all happened so fast and I am the kind of person that needs an answer so this is bothering me that I can't figure it out. While we were in the toy store we saw this put put golf set. Brenden loved playing golf in Hot Springs and we don't have anything like that around here so we bought him one that for now would satisfy him. Blaine loves the box.:o)

Okay so I am not one of those people that freak out when my kid is running high fever or vomiting but last night I almost spazed. We are still trying to figure it all out but we think that Blaine has a milk allergy. He has broken out in hives three times now and each time with different food so the only common thing is drink and that would be milk. We have stopped nursing and he is on milk fully now. He has been on it for almost a month but was still nursing so not drinking as much milk. This week we totally cut out nursing so he is on nothing but milk. I am not sure why it took so long to hit him but all I know is every time it does it is worse. This morning almost his entire body was red with hives including his face, last night his eye lids and nose were swollen with some hives on his legs, yesterday morning he had a red rash and slight swelling on his face. Sweet baby looked horrible but he played and acted like nothing was bothering him. Never once fussed. I guess his momma was doing enough for the both of us. So now I am stressing. Everything in life has milk in it. What in the world is safe for him? I am also thinking his eczema drama could be milk related. So wish us luck on this new challenge. And no I am not posting pictures of him like that and I didn't take any.

Hanging out...

We spend most of our nights hanging out with the boys. Barry gets on the floor and wrestles and one of the favorite things is to get all of the couch cushions, pile them up, and jump on them usually with a running start. I have a feeling I will be taking Barry to the ER before the boys. He is hilarious. Here are some pics from last night.

We saw this at the alligator farm. It was posted on the enclosure with the biggest gators. I found it amusing. I thought you might too.

We found it a little strange to read the sign and then see this hanging above our heads. So which one is true? I don't think I want to be the one to test a gators friendliness.

So Blaine took 8 steps last night! He will be walking before he is one.

Happy Mother's Day!

So Sunday was baby dedication at church. He was born a month after last year so this year he was one of the oldest ones to be dedicated. Brenden was 7 days old when we dedicated him. With everything we went through with him we were not waiting a year to publicly give him to God.

Look mom I can stand up!

So last week after the kids left and things settled down a little bit Blaine showed us he could stand up without holding on to anything. A few nights later he took a step and the next day he took two steps. He is growing so fast! He is also now a climber! I believe I have a monkey on my hands! He is on the fireplace, couch in the playroom, stood on a basket to get on the coffee table, small picnic table, and slide in playroom. The pictures are him climbing up the slide and sliding down by himself.

Fishing with the kids

The day we came home from vacation my oldest sister and bro in law and the kids came from Texas. I kept the kids while my sister and bro went to see his dad at Baptist. We had a great time hanging out for a few days. One afternoon we went fishing. We actually caught a few. I think our hooks were too big for the fish we were catching. They were nibbling like crazy though. It keep the kids on their toes and interested.

Here are more pictures from our vacation. The only thing I didn't get pictures of was Brenden bowling a 75 by himself! No joke. He carried the ball to the line rolled it and we watched. He has bowling in his genes what can I say.

We went on vacation 2 weeks ago and spent a week in Hot Springs. We just wanted to do a short car ride with both boys. We had a blast just us. It was our first family vacation and we were able to spend the entire time doing things for the boys. I didn't even shop for myself! They have a lot of neat things to do and I think we may have found them all for a three year old anyway. I will try to post more pics later.
