I am not Karen
I am Karen's little sister. And proud of that but not her. Love my sister to pieces and strive to be more like both of them in different ways but not them.
8 years together!
Barry and I have been an item for 8 years!! For a minute there I didn't think we would make it no matter how determined we both were there were others who didn't like us being together. That made it difficult but made us even stronger. I am so thankful we hung in there. Most of the people that were against us are now a vital part of our lives. Thanks for hanging in there with us too!

And people look at me like I am crazy when I even mention homeschooling. Yes the utter thought scares me to death but if that is what I am called to do I dare not say no. The utter thought of sending them to public school scares me too. I can't protect them from everything but somethings I think you need to be protected from until you are prepared spiritually. And sorry but there are still some things I am not prepared for let alone my child being ready for them. No offense taken to the parents that send their children to public school. You have your own relationship with God and know what your family is called to do.
BIBLE MEDITATION:“O God, Thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared Thy wondrous works.” Psalm 71:17
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:Satan is on a killing spree he wants to kill our memory and set us awash in the sea of forgetfulness without any recollection of our Christian heritage as a nation. Tragically, he’s aiming his artillery at our children and particularly in the place where they used to grow in the knowledge of good things the public school. Prayer is out. Police are in. Bibles are out. Values clarification is in. The Ten Commandments are out. Social engineering is in. Creation is out. Evolution is in. History is out. Revisionism is in. God says we need to remember the generation to come.
ACTION POINT:You have an important job to influence the lives of those who will come after you. Teach them to walk in the ways of the Lord and against the tide of the world.

Can I just say how awesome my man is!! He is on call this week so I did not expect much for v day but he surprised me anyway. I love my gifts and could not wait to show them off. We normally don't do much for each other that the other didn't already pick out, but it is nice to have the surprise too. We haven't done much in a while as far as gifts lately. Christmas this year was a big family gift, so it was nice to have him do this for me. I put myself last. I think most moms do. I told him I am not sure what I will wear it with but I will enjoy looking at it until I find an outfit to go with it. I am not the trendy one that I used to be. Oh well. I guess I just have too much to keep up with and that is not it. I do miss sometimes buying without thinking but now I realize how much money I did waste! I have been looking for something like this for a while and just couldn't find it. I found this at Keepsakes and it was perfect. I of course did not want to spend the money. I am glad he did! I love it and will remember the day I picked it out and how he went back and remembered. That is what makes it so special not the material thing but the way it is given.
